Your European partner for custom electronics, from concept to finished device

MICROBOTIC designs and manufactures electronic hardware on behalf of our partners: PCB design, firmware, prototypes, SMT/THT assembly and complete device assembly, from the first units to production series. Everything under one roof, in Poland.

Who we are

An electronic hardware factory in the heart of Europe

MICROBOTIC was founded in 2016 in Obrowo near Toruń, Poland. We started with small assembly jobs and single devices, and grew step by step into a company with its own production hall, two SMT lines, a through-hole assembly station and an in-house design team.

We are not a catalogue brand. We do not sell our own IT equipment. Our business is building other companies' devices: we take a product from an idea, a specification or an existing board, design it, prove it on prototypes and manufacture it in series.

Design and production sit in one building. When a prototype does not behave as expected, the people who designed it and the people who assembled it look at it together, so we can quickly tell whether the issue is in the design or in the build. We installed and commissioned our machines ourselves, and our team knows the production park inside out.

Our partners talk directly to the people who run their projects. There is no layer of account managers between you and the decisions.

What we do

The full hardware cycle, handled by one team

You can join at any stage. Some partners come with an idea, others with finished production files. In both cases the result is a documented device that is ready to manufacture and can be reproduced batch after batch.

01

Project plan

We confirm the functional, technical and component assumptions and say honestly what is realistic.

02

Hardware design

Schematic, component selection, PCB layout, 3D model for approval.

03

Firmware & server app

Embedded software for the device and, when needed, the server application it reports to.

04

Prototypes

A short first run for validation and iteration before the design is frozen.

05

Manufacturing

PCB fabrication, component sourcing, SMT and THT assembly, AOI inspection.

06

Box-build & support

Final assembly, programming, testing, ESD packaging, then repeat series.

The device is our core, but we do not stop there. Beyond hardware and firmware, we can build the server side: an application that collects data from your devices, lets you manage them and makes the data available through an API or a simple web panel. We can also host and maintain it for you. If you already have your own platform, we integrate the device with it. Mobile apps are outside our scope and stay with you or your software partners.

Starting point A

"We have an idea or a proof of concept"

A functional description and, if available, photos of the prototype on modules. We start with a project plan.

Starting point B

"We have a specification or schematic"

We review your documentation, design the PCB and prepare it for production.

Starting point C

"We have a board, but no documentation"

We recreate schematics and production files from a physical unit, where you hold the rights to do so.

Starting point D

"We have production files"

Send Gerber, BOM and Pick&Place. We review the design for manufacturability and quote the production.

How we work with international partners

Three ways to use MICROBOTIC as your hardware partner

Our partners do not have to hand over their whole product. Most relationships start with one clearly defined device or one production run.

For system integrators

Your European hardware arm

Your projects sometimes need a device that does not exist off the shelf: a custom controller, an interface module, a monitoring unit. We design and build it to your end customer's requirements.

  • Dedicated devices for integration projects
  • Design, prototype and production in one place
  • EU-made hardware with traceable component sourcing
  • Server application and hosting for the devices, if needed
  • Direct technical contact for your engineers
For distributors and brands

Private-label electronics

You know your market and your customers. We manufacture the electronics for products sold under your brand, from design or from your existing documentation.

  • Manufacturing for products under your brand
  • Access control, alarm and monitoring devices, controllers
  • Repeatable batches, documented and consistent
  • Confidentiality under NDA
For companies with own production

Overflow and second source

Even a company with its own SMT line runs out of capacity or has small runs that are not worth stopping the line for. We take on those runs, or act as a qualified second source.

  • Small and medium runs without blocking your line
  • Backup capacity and supply-chain diversification
  • Processes your line may not cover: BGA, 01005, mixed SMT/THT
  • Start with a single pilot project
Why MICROBOTIC

What our partners can rely on

Made in the EU

All assembly takes place in our facility in Poland. For projects where the end customer looks at the origin of the hardware, this matters.

Traceable components

By default we buy components only from authorised distributors. Every substitute is proposed with its part number and needs your approval.

Transparent quotations

Components, assembly and one-time setup costs are shown as separate items, with an online BOM you can check line by line.

Design and production together

Designs are made to be manufactured, and problems are diagnosed by one team. You do not have to coordinate a designer and a factory.

Your IP stays yours

We work under NDA. When you commission and pay for a design, the design files and rights belong to you. We do not lock partners in through documentation.

Engineering honesty

If an off-the-shelf module makes more sense than a custom design, or a requirement is unrealistic, we say so before you spend money on it.

SNIKEYBOX - an unattended terminal for contactless key dispensing

Challenge
A partner building a vehicle-sharing system had the app and web platform, and needed the terminal's electronics and embedded software for 24/7 unattended operation.
What we did
We designed two controller types (slave boards and a master controller) over several iterations, wrote the firmware for both and a supervisor application on a Raspberry Pi, and after validation launched series production.
Result
Terminals built on our controllers have been working in the field since 2019. We provide remote diagnostics: online monitoring of device status and connectivity.

Industrial client under NDA - BOM review before a 500-board run

Challenge
An industrial client sent documentation and a BOM for a 500-board series, with components to be sourced by us.
What we did
Every BOM is reviewed for cost and availability at the quotation stage. We flagged an optocoupler used 8 times per board and proposed a 1:1 equivalent of the same device type from another major manufacturer.
Result
The client accepted the substitute. The order's component cost dropped by about one fifth without any change to the circuit design.
~20%lower component cost of the order
~5×cheaper equivalent part
